Description: Lot of 4 Ribbons, circa 1890’s-1900’s These 4 ribbons came out of a large G.A.R. Collection with other Fraternal Society items. Included in this lot: · Paper ribbon, “Illinois” with “89” written in pen. Not sure of the origin or date of this ribbon. In good condition, some stains, has been repaired along the top with tape, some creases. Measures, 1.5” x 6” · White silk printed ribbon, “Only Old Original, Farmers’ PicniC, Long Branch, Thursday, Aug. 19, 1897, In Memoriam, N.M. White, Died Friday, July 16, 1897.” In very good condition; some staining and fraying. Measures 2.25” x 6.75” · White silk ribbon, “Michigan, Detroit, 1891.” In fair condition, blemished and stained, the top and bottom are heavily frayed. Measures 1.5” x 6.25” · A portion of a red silk printed ribbon, “Campfield Monument Celebration, Oct. 4, 1900.” In poor condition, not sure how much of the ribbon is missing, it is blemished, frayed and creases, there is reinforcing acid-free tape on the backside.
