Description: Features & Introduction Full-size features in a clean design NVIDIA GPUs power the worlds most advanced desktop workstations, providing the visual computing power millions of professionals need for their daily workflows. All phases of the professional workflow, from creating, editing and viewing 2D and 3D models and images, to using multiple applications across multiple displays, benefit from capabilities that only a standalone GPU solution can provide. NVIDIAs entry-level professional GPUs offer advanced features and performance that go far beyond what an integrated solution can provide - all in a low-profile design that can be deployed in a variety of small workstations. As part of the NVIDIA RTX™ professional GPU family, the NVIDIA T400 ︱ T400 4GB (T400 Series Graphics Cards) delivers the performance, features, reliability, and support that customers have come to expect from NVIDIA enterprise solutions. As organizations look to reduce the total cost of ownership of their computing solutions while minimizing the impact on productivity, the NVIDIA T400 provides them with a powerful and cost-effective solution that can help them keep their budgets under control while delivering better performance than integrated graphics. Performance Features Turing GPU Architecture Based on a state-of-the-art 12nm FFN (FinFET NVIDIA) high-performance process customized for NVIDIA, the NVIDIA T400 series graphics cards contain 384 CUDA cores, making them the most powerful single-socket professional solutions (FSIs) in the CAD, DCC, and financial services industries, and for visualization professionals who generally want to achieve superior performance in a compact and efficient form factor. The Turing GPU architecture delivers the greatest leap forward in real-time graphics rendering for calculators since NVIDIA invented programmable shaders in 2001. Advanced Shading Technology Turing architecture graphics cards feature the following new advanced shader technologies Mesh shading: An arithmetic-based geometry pipeline to accelerate geometry processing and culling for geometrically complex models and scenes. Mesh shading provides up to a two-fold performance boost for geometry-limited workloads. Variable Rate Shading (VRS): Vary the rate of shading based on scene content, gaze direction, and motion to improve imaging efficiency. Variable Rate Shading provides similar image quality but shades 50% fewer pixels. Material Space Shading: Object/material space shading improves the performance of pixel shading for heavy workloads such as depth of field and motion blur. Material Space Shading reuses pre-colored material pixels for pixel-shading heavy VR workloads to increase throughput and realism. Advanced Streaming Multiprocessor (SM) Architecture Combines shared memory and L1 caching to dramatically increase performance, simplify the process, and reduce the adjustments required for optimal application performance. Each SM contains 96 KB of L1/shared memory, which can be configured in a variety of capacities depending on the compute or graphics workload. For compute work, up to 64 KB can be allocated to L1 cache and shared memory, while graphics workloads can allocate up to 48 KB to shared memory; 32 KB L1 and 16 KB material cells. The combination of L1 cache and shared memory reduces latency and provides higher bandwidth. High-performance GDDR6 memory Turings highly optimized GDDR6 memory subsystem delivers the industrys fastest graphics processing speeds, with 2GB or 4GB of memory and 80 GB/s peak bandwidth, twice the throughput of previous generations. The NVIDIA T400 series graphics cards are the ideal platform for 3D professionals and demanding environments with large data sets and multiple displays. Single Instruction, Multiple Threads (SIMT) The new Independent Thread Scheduling feature shares resources across small workspaces, enabling finer-grained synchronization and cooperation between parallel threads. Mixed-Precision Arithmetic 16-bit floating-point precision computing doubles throughput and reduces storage requirements for training and deploying larger neural networks. Turing SM has independent parallel integer and floating-point data paths, making it more efficient for workloads that mix arithmetic and address calculations. Graphics preemption Pixel-level preemption provides finer control and better support for time-dependent tasks such as VR motion tracking. Compute preemption Instruction-level preemption provides finer-grained control over computational work to prevent long-running applications from monopolizing system resources or timing out. H.264 and HEVC Encoding/Decoding Engines Two proprietary H.264 and HEVC encoding engines, as well as a decoding engine that is separate from the 3D/compute pipeline, provide faster-than-real-time performance for transcoding, movie editing, and other encoding applications. NVIDIA GPU BOOST 4.0 Automatically maximizes application performance without exceeding the cards power and thermal envelope. Allows applications to stay at the accelerated frequency for longer at higher temperatures before dropping back to the base frequency at the second temperature setting. This feature requires a software application to activate and is not a standalone program. Image Quality Full Scene Anti-Aliasing (FSAA) Dramatically reduce visual aliasing artifacts or "jaggies" using up to 64X FSAA (128x in SLI mode) for excellent image quality and extremely realistic scenes. 32K Material and Imaging Processing Materials are imaged to 32K x 32K surfaces to support image processing applications that require the highest resolution and quality. Display Features NVIDIA® Quadro® Mosaic Technology Scale desktops and applications from a single workstation to up to 4 GPUs and 12 displays while delivering full performance and image quality. DisplayPort 1.4a Supports up to three 5K screens @ 60Hz, or two 8K displays per card The NVIDIA T400 series graphics cards support HDR color, including 4K @ 120Hz 10/12b HEVC decoding and up to 4K @ 60Hz 10b HEVC encoding. Each DisplayPort connector can drive ultra-high resolution of 4096x2160 @ 120 Hz and 30-bit color. NVIDIA® RTX™ Desktop Management Software NVIDIA RTX™ Desktop Manager software makes it easy to manage single or multi-monitor workspaces, giving you maximum flexibility and control over your display space and desktops. OpenGL Quad Buffered Stereo Support Deliver a smooth and immersive 3D stereoscopic experience for professional applications. NVIDIA® Enterprise Management Tools Maximize system uptime, seamlessly manage large-scale deployments and remotely control graphics and display settings for efficient operations.
