The Laika Explorer board is well suited to people who want to learn how to control hardware like motors, LEDs and sounders, by developing software graphically in Scratch on the Raspberry Pi. This will be supported by the online Laika tutorials and forums to guide novices. For advanced programmers, the Laika Explorer provides a quick way to prototype and develop technical projects by calling functions from the Laika library to manage the hardware fast and efficiently. The Laika Explorer board gives you: 2x analogue and 4x digital inputs - to connect sensors, switches and other input devices. 7x digital outputs - to control LEDs, motors, sounders and other output devices. 2x H-Bridge motor driver circuit - to allow two motors to be driven in forward, reverse or brake, ideal for creating robots and buggies. 4x built-in switches - to allow convenient interaction between hardware and software. 7x indicator LEDs - present on each digital output for easy diagnostics. Powering Laika: The board has a 2.1mm centre positve DC power and runs off a supply voltage of between 4.6V and 10.8V.Payment We currently use three different third-party, hosted payment services – PayPal, Stripe and NoChex. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.Delivery When ordering online we know that it can sometimes be difficult to find all the necessary and useful information about your order and the delivery times and methods. Delivery in the UK UK parcels are sent using First Class Royal Mail and should be with you within 1 to 3 working days, including Saturdays. Delivery in Europe and Rest of World International deliveries are typically sent via Royal Mail Airmail Small Packets and should be delivered between 3 and 7 working days to Europe and 5 to 7 working days to the Rest of the World. Please be aware that in certain circumstances overseas deliveries can take up to 4 weeks to arrive – this is very rare, but it does happen occasionally. We also cannot be held responsible for any delays resulting from postponements due to customs clearance, strikes or political/civil unrest. Delivery duties All orders sent outside of the UK and EU are shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis and may be subject to local customs import duty which is charged on the value of the purchase. Payment of these fees is the sole responsibility of the customer. Payment of the duty charge is necessary for the release of your order from customs on arrival to your country. We are reasonable people (and we hope you are too!) and we always want you to have a happy experience, so we will do our best to come to a mutually agreeable outcome in such situations. Lost in transit Therefore if you have not received your items after 4 weeks from receipt of the "Order Complete" email (or 2 weeks for UK orders) then please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Once we know you have not received your item we will investigate the matter fully both internally and with our carriers and will work with you to provide a mutually acceptable resolution. Sometimes we will at our own discretion use a courier for higher priced items both for UK and international orders. We reserve the right to use whichever delivery service we like, without informing you of a change first. However if a signature will be required for your item due to it being delivered by a courier instead of by Royal Mail, we will endeavour to let you know. We aim to despatch all packages within 1 working day of your order (excluding weekends) for in stock items. However, during busy periods this time-frame may be longer. If you have any questions about your order then don’t hesitate to contact us.Returns We do our very best to ensure that our items are accurately described and delivered in a good condition. As such, we really hope that you will be pleased with your purchases from Pi Supply. However we understand that there may be occasions when you will need to return items to us. If you change your mind If you have simply changed your mind about any item ordered and you wish to return it then in line with the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) and the Consumer Contracts Regulations (CCR) you can do so provided you inform us of your decision within 14 working days of receipt of the order. The items must not be used and must be 'as new' when returned to us with all original packaging in-tact such that it is in a saleable condition. Once you've informed us that you wish to return goods under the DSR/CCR you have 28 calendar days to do so, at your own expense. Items damaged in transit If any items were damaged in transit we ask that you report it to us within 7 working days. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt it's best to sign the carrier's delivery note accordingly if possible. Damaged items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once received back into our warehouse we'll issue a replacement or full refund via your original payment method. If return shipment is necessary we will of course cover this cost. Items faulty on arrival If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 30 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault. Incorrect or missing items Whilst we do our very best to make sure your order is correctly fulfilled in our warehouse our staff are only human and so on the odd occasion mistakes do happen. If you receive the incorrect items or are missing an item from your order please inform us within 7 working days of receipt so we can work with you to rectify the situation. For missing items we will ship the missing products out to you immediately, and in the case of incorrect items we will typically ask you to ship the items back to us (at our expense) and send the correct items out to you by return. Unexpected delivery If you received an order from us which you were not expecting, we would be obviously very grateful if you could return it to us so we can re-route it to its rightful home!
