Description: Kramer JK1000, made in Japan by ESP, circa 1985. In overall beautiful condition for a guitar of its age.Vibrant red paint job with matching headstock. Rare one-piece maple neck with skunk stripe. I believe the headstock paint may have been done aftermarket, as I've never seen another red JK1000 from this era with a maple fretboard that didn't also have an unfinished maple headstock. Additionally, when I purchased it, the black kramer logo was peeling, leading me to believe it was likely a poor attempt at applying a new logo after painting. That said, the color matches perfectly and makes it look much more the a US Baretta, which the JK1000 was essentially the Japanese market equivalent of at the time. I applied the gold Kramer logo myself with a high quality water transfer decal. I also added the 'cant' drive 55' sticker to honor the Red Rocker. - Pickup upgraded to a Jalen Pinnacle 'frankenstrat' style reverse zebra humbucker.- Floyd Rose upgraded with trem-stop and EVH D-Tuna.- Volume pot upgraded with Bournes 500k low-friction for super smooth movement.- Recently pro-setup and used in a string of sessions in my smoke-free Los Angeles studio.- Lightweight (just over 7lbs), resonant alder body- Plays great but does have a few dings and scratches consistent with an instrument of its age. Gig bag and 'BTTF' inspired Rockit strap included
