Description: Here is a KATO N SCALE B&O RS-1 # 9185 . This engine comes from the estate of a long time train collector. On inspection this unit appears very clean overall and displays very well. The KATO emblem is molded on the bottom of this engine. I bench tested this on five feet of straight track and it had no hesitation moving forward and in reverse when current was applied. The operation of this RS-1 was what you would expect from a KATO engine...smooth and quiet. The silver exhaust stack is missing on this unit and I note that replacements are available on EBAY. Also there is no jewel case box for this engine but it will be very carefully packed for shipping. This is a good looking N scale diesel which should affordably enhance your layout operations.
