Dimple Black Knob; ; Duplicated adjustable check & pawl. Rectangular Line Guard; Marked on back frame in Black & Silver Circular plate: "Beaudex / Regd. / J.W. Young & Sons. Ltd. / Redditch England." " Special crinkle Grey enamel on spool face & back plate. The Beaudex is a very well made reel, with a large spindle that is very strong. The lever arm check tension regulator shares many similarities with the famous Hardy 1912 check. The Young-developed dimple knob feels very good in the hand when reeling in or playing a fish. The mass of the reel balances very nicely with bamboo rods.. The larger Beaudex reels had a well-deserved following among the steelhead fishermen of Western USA. It has line & backing on it.
