Description: This listing is for an antique original Japanese Watercolor Painting signed with Kanji calligraphy glyphs. It is framed in an awesome ornate antique plaster on wood frame. I believe it to have been painted between 1880 and 1910, based on the style and materials used. Could be older. It is in nice condition for its age, with nice colors. It depicts a picturesque inland lake or harbor, with a mountain rising in the background. On the water, a junk or some similar kind of vessel floats- likely fishing. On the right, another mountain or hill cute in to the foreground with a lovely painted tree. Unfortunately I have not been able to find much of anything about this artist. I believe it is painted in watercolors, but it could also be thick ink of some kind. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. Some light staining, easy enough to miss or ignore/ could also be conserved. The matting has some staining. See photos for details. Has some minor aging, but it is in nice shape. I have not removed it from the frame at all. Frame is in great shape, has one spot of blemish on an upper corner.
