Description: Ives Standard Gauge 1929 #3236 Locomotive, 2 Coaches, Track, and Accessories. These pieces are untested, unrestored, and offered here for parts/restoration. The 3236 locomotive is a steel frame, Lionel cab, wide motor unit of 1929-30 production. Externally it has expected wear for a hundred year old piece but underneath it appears clean, complete, and well-maintained. It appears internally and externally complete except for simple accessories like light bulbs. The coaches exhibit similar external wear, with some surface rust but otherwise appear complete and undamaged (again, excepting small accessories like lightbulbs). The two switches have surface rust, one switch has a soldered repair to switch mechanism and is missing its handle. Both switches are functional. Majority of the 7 straight and 10 curved wide gauge track sections are stamped "Ives", with two pieces stamped Lionel. It all appears straight and usable. The curved sections have light surface rust, straights appear a bit more heavily rusted but responded well to a track cleaning pad. The Lionel Multivolt transformer is untested. It appears complete, intact, and original, except for its replacement power cord. All in all, this lot is a very workable starting point for restoration.
