Description: INDIAN WARS, U.S. ARMY, M1874 CONDIMENT RATION BAGS, SET OF 3, ORIGINALS As issued to each soldier to carry in his saddlebags or haversack to contain his ration of coffee, sugar and salt, these three cotton condiment bags are in unissued condition, complete with draw strings. There are some stains on these condiment ration bags due to storage and age. The large bag measures approx. 4” x 5 ½”. The medium sized bag measures approx. 4-1/4” x 5”, and the smaller bag measures approx. “3 x 5-1/2”. Once common, these ration bags have become hard to find individually, and almost impossible to find as a complete set. Pull strings are intact. These condiments bags were stored in the Pattern M1874 Haversack. No rips or tears. All three are discolored from age. See photo's for condition.
