Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Indian War Aqua/Green Champagne Bottle Description: This is one of several items recovered from the Fort Pembina privies. Fort Pembina was located just west of the Red River and was built to watch over the Sioux and to ensure the safety of those living along the Red River. The fort was completed in 1870/71 and caught on fire in 1895. Some of the troops assisted in suppressing a Fenian Raid into Canada. The privies were full of items dating from the Civil War up through the late Indian War era. A very nice example of a light aqua/green colored champagne bottle. This example is hand blown with an applied lip with a kick up on the base. There are a few small air bubbles with some great lines around the neck from stretching out the glass during manufacture. A great Indian War relic with a crude lip. The surface is hazy with iridescence. Measures: 9 ¾” Tall x 2.5” Wide at the base. Recovered: Fort Pembina, Dakota Territory (Now North Dakota) We will not ship this item internationally. We will only ship this item to the continental United States.
