Description: This auction is for one new Trolley Dodger Records audio CD with a total playing time of 63:25. These are vintage recordings, originally released on LPs #02 and 25 by the long-gone Railroad Record Club of Hawkins, Wisconsin in the 1950s and 60s. They have been digitally remastered using the best equipment and techniques. This CD comes with the original liner notes for each LP. The disc features audio recordings made between 1953 and 1955 of the Waterloo, Cedar Falls, & Northern, the Southern Iowa Railway, and Illinois Terminal Railroad electric interurbans. Record #02: Side One was made from the rear platform of interurban No. 100 on the WCF&N as she leaves the "Y" at Waterloo and heads toward Cedar Rapids. Side Two is another "on train" recording of Southern Iowa No. 9. Both have motor hums and whistles. Record #25: IT interurbans 203, 277, 283, 284 and Class C locomotives 1587, 1590 and 1596. The highly modern streamlined interurbans also put in appearances. The whine of a rotary converter that has been stilled forever, and the 203 in a bad trouble spot at the Springfield, Ill. station.
