Synopsis - Hunt Slonem, born in Kittery, Maine in 1951, is an American painter, sculptor, and printmaker best known for his Neo-Expressionist paintings. Slonem's works are included in many important museum collections all over the world; he exhibits regularly at both public and private venues and he has received numerous honors and awards.Over fifty museums include Slonem's paintings in their collections, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum; the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.; the Brooklyn Museum of Art in Brooklyn, NY; the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in Boston; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (all in New York).
