Description: This is a suite of six Giclee prints depicting the various "heat levels" of various peppers. Each is signed and number by the artist, Karen Brussat Butler. Each print measures 12.5" x 10.5". The edition size is limited. These 6 prints depict each level of the six "Degrees of Heat" associated with different peppers - Very Mild (Pimento/Paprika), Mild (Anaheim/Poblano), Mild to Medium (New Mexican/Jalapeno), Medium Hot (Serano/Thai), Hot! (Cayenne), Hot! Hot! (Habenero/Scotch Bonnet). In each print a pepper border surrounds a colorful group of individuals enjoying a wide variety of food from around the world. This edition was printed at Hunter Editions in Kennebunkport, Maine, utilizing the Iris printing process. This process is ideally suited far a watercolor painter because the artist creates the image directly on the same surface that is used to make the final image, watercolor paper. The result is a print that is as close to the artist's intention as is possible... the colors and washes are indistinguishable from the original watercolor without the use of a magnifying glass. No other printmaking process comes closer to the transparency of watercolor as the Giclee print.
