The Perky Promise: I make these designs and products because I use them too. If you have any problems whatsoever with the product, just send me a message and we'll work something out! If you experience a failure, please send me a picture of the failure and I'll not only send you another one, but I'll revise my design so it never happens again. Happy riding! Directions: Step 1: Gather up a metric allen key set (we need an M3). Do NOT gather up a drill, this is too delicate for a drill. I also find myself tempted by the drill often, but we'll have to resist the urge in this case. Step 2: Set the mount in front of you, so the circular side is on the left and the smooth face is on the right, facing towards you. That little opening on the left is what we're going to call the "jaws", and the smooth face on the right will be the "face". Step 3: Take the M3 bolts out of the bag, and review what is present. You should see 2x shorter bolts, and 2 longer bolts. Set the two longer bolts aside for now. Step 4: Bring the mount over to the bike, and just set it on top of the speedometer. You'll see that this is going to take some finagling. What you want to do, is open the "jaws" up a little, and slide them over the middle of the thin cylindrical bar connecting the tops of the handlebars. So now it's kind of hanging there. Now slide the mount of to the left, and slide it back off of that cylindrical bar; now it'll be much easier to fit the mount on there since it's in the right place! Step 5: Now you're going to stretch the mount slightly over the speedometer gauge. This is a delicate process - you don't want to break the round part of the mount! Step 6: Now that the mount is sitting on the speedometer, starting from the left side (where the jaws are), spread the jaws slightly, and press down on the mount. You'll notice it's starting to move down and seat onto the speedometer. Now continue slightly spreading the opening more and more, while pushing down, until it makes it over the lip of the speedometer. Now just push it down into place and get it settled roughly how you want it. Step 7: Now, grab those two short M3 bolts, and install them into the holes opposite the nuts. Again, do not overtighten these or the mount will break. You just need it snug! Now we'll install the Tachometer to the mount. Step 8: Place the tachometer on the mount, then gently insert one of the longer bolts on the left, then the shorter one in the right hole of the tachometer (remove the covers of the holes on the tachometer if you have not already). Step 9: Turn the M3 bolts with the allen key, until they begin threading into the nuts on the rear. You may need to press on the tachometer to get the bolts started. Don't press on the bolts too much, or you could break the glue holding the nuts in place for you. Step 10: Turn the M3 bolts until they're just snug, using the "fast mode" of the allen wrench. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. You WILL break the plastic mount if you over tighten the bolts. You just need it to be secure, not "torqued to hell". Tachometer Notes: If you've already installed the wire of the tachometer, you're good to go! If not, then you'll want to lookup the instructions for the tachometer to give you an idea of what to do, but basically you wrap the red wire around the highest point of the spark plug wire that you can reach, and zip tie it in place. Troubleshooting: If you did bust a nut loose, it's no big deal, just thread the nut that broke out onto one of the bolts, place the assembly nut-first into the rear of the mount, and unscrew the bolt leaving the nut where it was. With any luck, it should stay long enough to get the bolt through again.
