This motor will replace the Pittman DC70 or DC90 open frame motors. This motor has very high torque, it is designed for cordless drill service, and it has plenty of power for Hobbytown multi-drive setups. This motor measures 38mm long and 28mm in diameter, it will fit inside the body of any vintage Hobbytown cab unit diesel. With no load at 12 volts DC this motor draws 170ma and develops 9300 rpm, the stall current is 2.7 amps. This motor has a 5 pole armature, and it will start turning smoothly on 1 volt DC. This motor is DCC compatible with a high current decoder. There are 2 solder terminals on the rear of the motor for electrical connections. The motor shaft is 13mm long and 2.3mm in diameter. The flywheel is 3/4 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch long. The flywheel shaft is 3/32 inch in diameter and 3/4 inch long. This motor kit is designed to use the existing Hobbytown universal couplings. The Hobbytown universal couplings ARE NOT included with the motor kit. If you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing this kit.
