Description: The magazine that featured marijuana as its main subject, and called 'High Times', began its half century run FIFTY years ago, in June of '74. Hard to believe it's been that long! The founder and the person who created 'High Times' was a marijuana reform advocate until his death in '78. (Tom Forade took his own life.) I wish he could be here now to see how important his magazine has been for the legalization and reform movement, and how it's grown and progressed through FIVE decades... In the 70s, 'High Times' was already making a name for themselves. Today we feature a five piece bundle (for the fifty years they've been around), with magazines from different decades, including issues from the 80s, and 90s, and one modern issue from 2010 (to compare and contrast)! We start with the space themed issue from June of 1981. With an ad for 'Nice Dreams', the early 80s Cheech and Chong movie, on the back cover. (Which I happened to watch about a week ago. And it's as funny as it is silly!) Next up is the December '81 issue, with Nat E. Dred on the cover. Nat was a character on the sketch comedy show on ABC called 'Fridays'. That show featured Michael Richards and Larry David from Seinfeld, and Rich Hall (from 'Not Necessarily the News and 'SNL'). The actor who played Dred was Darrow Igus, and the name Nat E. Dred is a play on the Bob Marley album 'Natty Dread'. Then we have the March '82 issue with boxer Gerry Cooney, Mick Jagger, and Stevie Nicks on the cover! Next up is the February '91 issue with the 'women of the marijuana movement' on its cover. Then we end with the December 2010 issue, with a big bud of the Blue Dream strain on the cover. With an article on the top 10 strains of the year, and an interview with The Door's Robby Krieger inside, among much more. All of the issues appear to be complete. No pages torn or ripped, or dog-eared or handwritten on. The '91 issue has a name that was white-outed on the very top of the front cover. The March '82 issue has a light stain on the cover. Most have at least a little wear, as these were read and re-read several times through the years. And by several people! 'High Times' magazine, celebrating fifty years of being published. Grab this five issue bundle while you still can! Please know that I don't make money on shipping. In fact sellers usually lose money on shipping, as eBay keeps a portion. Expedited shipping is available to anyone who wants it. USPS's Ground Advantage is the method of shipping anything with ads (like magazines). Ground Advantage costs less than Priority Mail, is faster than Media Mail, and it also adds $100 of insurance. If you NEED it a little faster, just choose and pay for the Priority Mail option when checking out. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Ask me about combined shipping when you make multiple purchases. If there are any problems once you receive your item(s), please give me a chance to make it right. MOST problems are easily resolved... Immediate payment if I accept your best offer, please. Also, if you try to make a seriously low-ball offer, it will automatically decline it. (REASONABLE offers usually get automatically accepted.) Thanks for stopping by. Take care, and have a good day!
