Personally, we liked using rubber "glue dots brand" to temporarily hold it in place. My personal preference. *The remotes take 2 LR44 *The bots use Triple AAA *You should have handy small Phillips and flat blade precision screwdriver sets to open stuff. *You can test remote batteries, typically by turning your camera on via your cell phone and aim at the IR sensor. If you see a purple light, the batteries are okay. If you don't that means it may need new batteries. *Most Battle Bots have a single top button remote. *Some are two buttons on top and even though a bot ships with that remote it doesn't always mean both buttons do anything. Some others, yes, both top buttons do something. *Rotator only uses 1 of 2 buttons. Saw Blaze and Whiplash are 2 button robots that use both buttons as I recall. ***Best as I recall there are two exceptions to aftermarket batteries. That is Whiplash and Sawblaze who have lipo batters inside and you'd charge with a mini USb (not USB C), charging cables are not included unless shown in photos. READ: I have installed new PREMIUM batteries which really light up these bots. Duracell Optimum or Energizer Blue may be inside.
