Description: The Heisey Peerless pattern was the first of Heisey’s Colonial patterns. It was manufactured beginning in 1899 and was gradually phased out by 1944 when only a few items were still in production. Many variations of this original Colonial pattern were issued over the years and the pattern was also imitated by numerous Heisey competitors. From this original Heisey pattern, we offer this handled decanter with the original stopper. It looks similar to the Peerless cruet/oil, but much larger. It measures 9 ¼” high (including the stopper) with a 4 ¾” diameter base. Both the decanter and the stopper are in great condition. The stopper has a few rough spots on the ridges and a minor nick at the end of the stopper (see pictures). The decanter has some common production flaws such as bubbles and lines (see pictures). Any Heisey collector will be proud to add this amazing piece to their collection.
