Description: This is a homemade single comforter/throw with a roomy, cozy foot pocket. It is made with four large remnants of a silk linen fabric from Bella Notte, a Northern California luxury linen manufacturer. This fabric pattern is from the Bella Notte Luna collection, which is quilted on silk charmeuse and features a signature diamond pattern for a sophisticated, understated finish. The remnants are double-sided. The face is 65% silk and 35% linen, the back is 100% linen. See the last photo, as it has a written description on their tag for this style, but the stated color is not this color so I've blocked it. I believe the color of the two side strips is called fog (a greenish-gray color), the inside strip called parchment (deep ivory), but I would not guarantee that those are the named colors. This cozy throw measures approximately 53 inches wide by 68 inches long, and the foot pocket measures approximately 19 by 31 inches. It is machine washable. Perfect to use while sitting, works great while in a wheelchair, and lying down. It's nice and warm and always keeps feet inside and covered, also toasty and warm. After making several as gifts for friends and relatives, who loved them, I decided it was time to make for other people to also give as a gift to someone dear to them! When making, first I serged the edges of the remnant strips, then sewed the different strips together and tacked them down on each side of the seams, then attached the foot-warming pocket. Then trimmed the entire side edge with a green-shaded chenille, also Bella Notte fabric. Please see the photos.
