Dead-Shirt !!! ... one of the ' Last & Final ' Dead Shirts ( if, not the Last ! ) issued during Griff's Lifetime !! ... hands-down - One-of " Rock Art's " Best ! of All-Time !!! Dead Fans !! ... and Rick Griffin Fans !!! Well, here's one that will indeed double your pleasure ! Because as we well know, there is nothing like the Good Ol' Grateful Dead ! -- and... there's nothing quite like Griffin either ! And, to nicely add to this train of thought ... there is nothing like the ' Black ' Rock & Roll T-Shirt ! Well, right during that time & space where the 1980's turned into the 1990's -- GDM issued & released Two ! of the Quintessential ! G.D. & Griffin Art Classics ! Both, on Black Shirts ... with the ' other ' one featuring the Rock Art Famed AOR 2.24 Aoxomoxoa Poster Image on the front, and an image of the Aoxomoxoa Skeleton on the back. And, then there was this one ... the far rarer & scarcer of these two Legendary G.D. / Griffin Artwork Shirts --- it features the ' same ' back side as the other ( with the Aoxomoxoa Skeleton ! ) ... but, on the front, the head & top crossbones of the Aoxomoxoa Skeleton are right in the middle ! of the Legendary !! Bertha-like " Grateful Dead " ring of Red Roses ! - obviously, designed originally by Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley. So ... just think about this one for a quick second -- as instead of having the Skull & Roses " Bertha " peeking through this G.D. Rose ring ... you have the Aoxomoxoa Skeleton peering through !!! Wow ! Very-framed like, and he seems awfully psyched about this fine opportunity ! And, furthermore - the Colors are just as Bright & Bold ! as a Fan could ever hope for. Point being, with the AOR 2.24 version definitely falling into the ' Classic ' G.D. category -- this one here really goes above & beyond ... as far as the " Creative " goes ! A few takes on the Classics ... but put together in an super eye-catching & Amazing ! Fashion !!! This one came out in 1991 - right around the time of the '91 Spring Tour, as I distinctly remember that being the very-first time that I ever saw it. And naturally, this was one that I had to have Fast ! Hey, I mean this is one that just about every ! Dead Fan had to have fast - but, as with most of the Coolest-of-the-Cool ! G.D. Shirts, not too many of these at-all survived the fun filled ravages of time. And this one ? As you can see in the photos ... is a straight up Beauty ! One of the most sought-after & one of the Best ! Dead Shirts of the entire '90's Era ... and, as we all know - you can never go wrong with Griff ! In fact, this was actually one of the last Dead Shirts that was ever released during Rick Griffin's time ... with his so sad & untimely passing happening in August of 1991. There are a lot of Spectacular Dead Shirts indeed, but really ... it would be pretty tough to make one cooler than this - as for a certain type of Dead Fan, this one indeed has all that it needs.
