Robert Reiber is a freelance American artist who lives in central coastal Florida on Anna Maria Island. Spanish Point is a well known historic landmark in the Sarasota, Florida area. The idyllic Spanish Point is covered in tropical foliage and consists of a 30-acre peninsula that juts into Little Sarasota Bay that is home to small pioneer cottages, a chapel and a citrus packing house. Reiber's description of this print is: "Florida lagoon sailboat on secluded beach", which is a postcard-perfect colorful sailboat floating in the bay with a view of Spanish Point and sandy beach in the foreground. I am not sure when the original painting was created - likely the 1990s - but the lithograph was printed in 2013. This wonderful print was part of an estate. It has been beautifully custom framed with an ivory matte that is accented with an aqua green inner border, coordinating well with the aqua blues and greens in the print. The frame itself is a wide gilded-antiqued bronze-gold with beveled outer edges. It is heavy and substantial, expertly framed for an elegant presentation. It measures about 21.5 inches tall and is 37 3/4 inches wide (framed), landscape orientation, and a nice large, almost sofa size. The print is in excellent condition - no stains, spots, holes or tears. The matting is in great condition with no spots, holes, cracks or tears. The frame has some very minor scuffing, consistent with age and normal wear, but is also in good condition. The mounting board on the back of the piece has some small dings, but this does not affect the picture. The glass is in good condition - no chips or cracks. The hanging bracket and wire are secure and sturdy. See photos for more details.
