Description: AWESOME ITEM! A re-creation of the infamous painting done by Tommy's mother! Hysterical! Awesome item! PRISTINELY HAND SIGNED AND INSCRIBED "The Kid Henry" and famous Robert DeNiro quote "Looks like someone we know." Famously referring to Billy Batts. Also he drew arrows on each dog to represent one looking one way, one looking the other way, reminiscent of famous Joe Pesce film quote! A True gem! Truly unique conversation piece. EVERY Goodfellas fan will LOVE! Chris Serrone, he played the young Henry Hill in the best crime mafia movie ever! Of course, Ray Liotta played the same character as an adult. RIP Ray! You were an amazing actor and person and will be sorely missed! If you're here, I'm sure you've seen the movie, perhaps you've seen my other listing of Tommy's Mother's painting. But, here's a twist. This photo movie poster is of the actual photograph that the painting in the movie was based off of. The ORIGINAL! See below: Photograph originally published in National Geographic Magazine November 1978 -When a photo goes on to other fame; This photograph went on to become the inspiration for the famous dog painting in "Goodfellas". The original photo is of a man named John Weaving and "pals" AKA his two dogs, in a boat on the water. So Cool! And here is how it went down in the movie: A Late Meal, a Painting, and Mrs. DeVito: No scene captures the dark humor of ‘Goodfellas’ quite like when Tommy’s mom unveils her portrait of a man and his dogs.Tommy has just walked into his mother’s house in Queens with Jimmy Conway (Robert De Niro)and Henry Hill (Ray Liotta.)The trio has also brought along Billy Batts, though he stays outside—more specifically, in the trunk of a sedan, slowly bleeding out as punishment for telling Tommy to get his shinebox. It’s 3 a.m. and the men need to grab a shovel to dispose of Batts. But there’s one small holdup: Their arrival has awakened Tommy’s mom, who misses her son. She offers them food. They protest. One cut later they’re seated at her dinner table, surrounded by food.Mrs. DeVito then asks "Did Tommy ever tell you about my painting?” then, pulls it out from beneath the table. Tommy famously says," I like this one. One dog goes one way, and the other dog goes the other way.And this guy’s saying, 'Whaddaya want from me?' The guy’s got a nice head of white hair. " To which Jimmy says, "Looks like someone we know." Famously referring to Batts. In this copy of the original photo her painting represents, Chris Serrone, who played young Henry in the movie signs and adds "the Kid Henry."
