Originally modeled by master sculptors Helmut Wehlte and Reinhold Unger in 1955. In 1989, a new miniature size figurine was issued with a suggested retail price of $60 to match a new miniature plate series called the "Little Homemakers" - one each year for four years. This is the second in the series. It has an incised 1987 copyright date along with the TMK-6 trademark. The hummels produced for sale initially have this TMK-6 backstamp, however with production being limited to just two years before switching over to the TMK-7 trademark, there are fewer with this TMK-6 trademark. Production of this figurine continued until December 31st 1997, when this miniature size was Temporalily Withdrawn from production by Goebel. The original size was renumbered 321/1 and the old number 321 is now classified as a closed edition (CE) due to the 321 4/0 issuance. This is a closed edition. (Never Displayed!) Has Goebel Missing Bee Trademark (TMK-6) stamped in Blue on underside of base. This is the earliest version released, first available trademark for the miniature size. Total numbers of TMK-6 were limited due to only one year of production. Incised Hummel Number "321 4/0", Factory Control Number "19" and Copyright Date "1987" on underside of base. Incised "M.I. Hummel" on rear side of base. Oversized - Hummel exceeds the catalog's listed height of 3" by one eighth of an inch, standing at about 3.125" tall. Master Painter Hand-signed signature with year (88) in black on underside of base, located to the right of TMK-6 stamp. Name Card Display - Hummel has original foldable Name Card Display in both English and German. This figurine is the second in the "Little Homemakers" series, released in 1989. Comes with Pink Quality Control Paper, Name Card Display, Certificate of Authenticity card and original box with foam inserts. Box has the picture display of the Full size figurine, not the miniature size without the laundry basket, which is harder to find. It is correct to this piece, with proper numbers as shown. This size was Temporalily Withdrawn (TW) from production by Goebel on December 31st 1997. Closed Edition. (CE) Hummel is in New Open Box condition! No Repairs! No Chips! No Touch Ups! No Crazing!
