Description: This used 5 German mark note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Imperial Debt Office. It is a gray, violet, and blue note that is dated 5 August 1914, bear the signatures of v. Bischoffshausen, Warnecke, Vieregge, Muller Noelle, Dickuth, and Sprenger, and measures 125 mm x 80 mm. Its obverse side features Germania and a red Reichsschuldenverwaltung seal. Its reverse side shows the imperial eagle. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of a 5 in a spiral pattern. The note was withdrawn in 1924.
