Description: The venerable German company Junghans has been making timepieces since 1866. This is their legendary Meister “Handaufzug” Watch 027/3200.02 The Meister Handaufzug counts as the flattest and the finest watch in the Meister range, and the small seconds dial imparts a particularly cool allure. All in all, an elegant and sophisticated watch from a country that knows quality. Stainless steel case with screwed case back, 37.7 mm, height 7.3 mm Movement is a nicely decorated and very slim calibre J815.1, (42 hours power reserve) which is based on the ETA 7001 Peseux calibre. Silver plated, hand winding, 50m WR. Comes with original horse leather strap with buckle in poor condition, replaced by almost new Vario Italian leather strap. Junghans-branded buckle can be removed and put on the Vario or other strap. No box or papers, but purchased in Munich Germany and only has had one owner. Watch runs about 40 seconds fast which could be regulated, but the modest price reflects this. These things retail new for around $1,600.
