Description: This is a listing for a vintage Set of German Castle pieces in cobalt blue. The set consists of a large covered pot, like a punch bowl or tureen along with 5 matching mugs. This may be to serve cider, gluhwein or beer. The embossed decoration is 6 different German Castles and the lid's handle is a castle. Castles are: Godeburg, Drachenfels, Rheinstein, Marksburg, Lahneck and Katz. There are accents of grapes and leaves, all in relief style. Both the Punch Bowl/Tureen have the castles, leaves & grapes. The bottom of the tureen is marked with the letters GL over a line, however it could be CL. Please look at the pictures for the best view of the pattern, colors and details of this set as the pictures are considered part of the description. Each mug measures approximately 3 1/4" high, 3 1/4" in diameter and 4 1/2" across with the handle. The tureen is approximately 12 1/2" high and 8" in Diameter. This set is in very good vintage condition with the bottoms of a couple of the mugs having stray clay particles, as seen. This is probably ready for a good bath after having been on display. Please use the magnifier to closely inspect this item before bidding. This set weighs just over 12 pounds before being properly packed for shipping and will weigh 13-14 pounds when shipped.
