It doesn’t shrink or swell when exposed to high or low temperatures - which means more comfortable and grippable handle shapes B. It also has very high mechanical strength. It is difficult to break. C. It is only 1/2 the weight of aluminum, relatively lightweight which allows for less carry weight on guns D. Less likely to show scratches because the color is dyed into the material, not painted on. Safety & Perfect Fit Our 1911 grips are cut for ambi safety and have a slightly beveled bottom. Measurement between two center holes are 2 11/16", thickness is 3/16".
