AIR STRUT REMOVAL 1.SET STEERING TO STRAIGHT AHEAD. 2.RAISE VEHICLE. 3.REMOVE FRONT LEFT WHEEL. (FIGURE 1) 4.DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE FROM THE STRUT. (FIGURES 2, 3) 5.DISCONNECT AND UNROUTE THE TWO (2) ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS TO THE STRUT. (FIGURES 4, 5) 6.DISCONNECT THE CONTROL ARM SPINDLE FROM WHEEL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. (FIGURES 6, 7) 7.REMOVE THE SWAY BAR END LINK NUT AND DISCONNECT THE END LINK. (FIGURES 8, 9) 8.REMOVE THE BOLT FROM THE BOTTOM STRUT CLEVIS MOUNT. (FIGURES 10, 11) 9.REMOVE THE CLEVIS MOUNT PINCH BOLT TO FREE THE STRUT BOTTOM MOUNT. (FIGURES 12, 13) 10.REMOVE THE LOWER CLEVIS MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE STRUT. (FIGURE 14) 11.LOCATE AND REMOVE THE THREE (3) STRUT TOP MOUNT BOLTS. (FIGURES 15, 16) 12.REMOVE THE LOWER CLEVIS MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM IF THE STRUT. PREP THE NEW AIR STRUT FOR INSTALLATION BY REMOVING THE SILVER THREADED SHIPPING PLUG, INSTALLING THE PROVIDED VOSS FITTING, AND REMOVING THE WHITE SHIPPING PIN. (FIGURE 23) 4.INSTALL THE THREE (3) TOP MOUNT BOLTS. TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS. (FIGURE 24) 5. INSTALL THE CLEVIS MOUNT PINCH BOLT AND TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS. (FIGURES 25, 26) 6. INSTALL THE BOTTOM MOUNT STRUT BOLT. TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS. (FIGURES 27, 28) 7. INSTALL THE SWAY BAR END LINK NUT AND TIGHTEN TO MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS.
