Description: This is a nice set of French armor as worn by an officer during the Napolianic Wars. This consists of the helmet, with horsehair tail plume, as well as red feathers and red front "brush" Ornate brass coam and iron body. The helmet is original, though restored to very attractive condition, displayes very well. Also there is the iron, breastplate with brass edge trim and brass rivits. As well as the original backplate. Inside is the original leather lining, of course, worn and stained with age. This also has the heavy brass shoulder scales that will connect the two pieces together, Very ornate, and indicating for rank of an officer. Breastplate and backplate do show some age, but only enhances its appeal. This has the "WoW" effect, and to find a set this nice outside of a museum is very seldom seen. Without question original.
