The Jazzmaster is now a hybrid with specs that can be used by today's players all over the world. The new Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups are newly designed. The neck is now fretted with narrow-tall frets instead of medium jumbo frets, and the 22nd fret has been added. The controls are simple, with a toggle switch, volume, and tone, eliminating the wheel control. The truss rod can now be adjusted from the head side for easy maintenance. The Fender logo is now silver, giving it a modern image that is different from the traditional model. The bridge saddle of the floating tremolo has been changed to a mustang type. Vintage-style locking tuners, satin-finished neck back and gloss-finished headstock, and other hybrid features have been retained. The new model is clearer for those who have not been able to tell the difference between the hybrid and traditional models.
