There are intentional areas of paint peeling and scratches, so overall, there are signs of use.There is some tarnishing and rust on the metal parts, but it does not affect usability, although there are signs of aging. The strings also show signs of rust. I replaced the pickups with Fender's Pure Vintage '74 Jazz Bass Pickup and replaced all the pots because they started to scratch (the capacitors remain the same). I also changed the pickguard from white to tortoiseshell. It is set up and plays without any issues, including the electronics. The neck is currently straight, with about half to one turn of adjustment remaining. There is relatively more room in the opposite direction. The frets are estimated to be about 80% intact, with no sharp edges. It is set up in a very playable condition without any sound congestion or buzzing.
