Description: Oooohhhh! How spooky! There’s a lot going on in this piece. It’s all created on a vintage Sauers mustard spice tin. An old hand tinted Victorian like druggist sits on top with his elbow on a vintage citrate magnesium sign. He rest on two bottles that are old apothecary faux bottles. On top of one of them is a skull. At his knees is another faux apothecary bottle with a pointing hand to his title “the apothecary, “ and a tiny metal spider crawling up to it. He also has a metal tag saying “toxic elixir .” “another bottle lays on its side in the back , in front of a large skull, which also has a sign “Rexall $.25. “Finally in the background is a large bat overlooking the entire piece . this piece is larger than some of my others, but it is so cute with the four glass bottles and all of the Halloween decorations. What a cute fall piece to put on your table, your tiered tray, your coffee, bar, or your desk. This one-of-A-kind artwork is made by the mixed media artist BJ Walker of Springhouse Simples. Each piece is made with a story in mind and no two pieces are alike. Spice tins are being replaced by glass or plastic. This piece preserves vintage tin s and a piece of Americana.
