Description: Extremely rare press kit sent to a local journalist back in the 1970s. This press kit is special not only because it's very very rare being that it is for the Fairchild ESV, a car that never went into production and was only a proof of concept for automotive safety features, but because it is signed by George Hildebrand, the aviation engineer who designed the car from the ground up with famous designer Raymond Loewy and others on the team. There were only two Fairchild ESVs ever built, and both were destroyed in safety testing. These cars only exist in few photographs now. There is not very much information online about these vehicles and certainly very few pieces of physical memorabilia about these vehicles exist. There is a great article about the Fairchild ESV on the Hemmings website for more information. This is probably the only press kit for this car left in existence, and these press photos only exist online in poor quality scans. The hand signed note from George Hildebrand is what makes this a set that is fit for a museum or hardcore automobilia collection. Do not miss out on this. When it's gone, it is gone. You'll never see one of these again, especially signed by George Hildebrand. Ships free. Thanks for looking!
