I am sorry to have to be so blunt and long winded here, however to many people buy this without reading a word and it doesn't work for them and they file false defective returns. As this continued happening, the price went up. I do not want to raise prices or have to put the screws to my good customer base, but the 10% who don't read and file false returns cost me over $10 per transaction for their ignorance and ebay sits back and allows it so I have to do something to stop it. I am the only one selling this product, I could set the price point anywhere I want but I sell it reasonably to help everyone out. I am not going to continue allowing myself to get screwed by falsified returns. I'm also tired of people using my knowledge to fix their broken carts and then returning the product the same way. I go out of my way to assist all my customers as best I can in diagnosing issues remotely. If I get your issue solved, and you repay me by falsifying a defective return you are causing the problem and will end up causing everyone to lose a valuable resource. This product works 100% of the time on the correct model carts. There are NO defective magnets being sold. Again, there are ZERO defective magnets sold. If it doesn't work for you, then your cart either has an issue or has been modified in a way that doesn't allow for the use of the magnet. (The modification that makes them incompatible is those refurbishers who offer to "turn up" the amperage of the stock 1206 controller. Whatever they mess with causes a confliction with the speed magnet) I have changed this listing to NO RETURNS in an effort to drive away those who love to buy online and just return it later for no valid reason.Does not work on the controller style pictured that says no in red. It works on the controller that has the red works with magnet text. The PDS changed controllers sometime in or after 2011. If you have the 1206HB controller this will NOT work. If your cart is 2013 or newer, this will probably not work. EZGO changed to a different way to read the signal from the magnet in the newer software and the magnet will not change anything for those newer models. This does NOT mean the magnet is defective, it means it is NOT compatible with those carts. I keep capitalizing NOT to specify this as some people just don't read.Don't get suckered into a speed harness, they have nearly no real effect over 18mph. I am a golf cart technician who works on these carts everyday. A speed harness (which there are 3 different ones based on color) is nothing more than a factory jumper set worth about 50 cent. They cost a couple dollars on here, and you get about $1 worth of performance from them. The fastest speed harness speed is 18.7 mph. The magnet is different, and you get the speed you are looking for with one, up to 23mph!*Recent testing has determined this magnet will work with some of the 48 Volt TXT PDS system, however only on the earliest models. Most 2013 and newer seem to have the newer controller and are NOT compatible. (The only way to be 100% certain is to look at the controller. The two controllers pictured on this listing are representative of what you are looking for. The pictures have text saying which one is which. If you have further questions, please email me before buying) On the earlier models, the results are very similar, with a stock cart tested at 13 mph and after a magnet it ran 20mph. That is bone stock, no modifications other than magnet. I then added 2 awg cables and it ran 21mph. These results were repeated on three 48 volt PDS carts done in a row. These results have been replicated by customers in the field with some getting amazing results! Here is a comment that a buyer sent me after installing the magnet in his 48V cart; "I want you to know that I have a 2013 EZGO lifted cart. 48volt. It only went 12 to 13 mph. I put your magnet on there today and it now goes 23mph. I know this for sure because i was racing my buddies cart and his has a built in speedometer. I m super happy. Top speeds vary based on cart condition and options, however I have taken a stock PDS cart that was running 13MPH and with the magnet it has run up to top end 23MPH. (The speed you will achieve is based on your cart. You might get a 15% increase, you might get a 25% increase or more.....ALL CARTS VARY) If you use this magnet, I "highly" suggest upgrading your wiring to handle the increased heat that will come with the increased RPM. I have other listings with cable sets for sale that will fit the PDS carts in 2 and 4 gauge. If you don't change the wires to at least a 4 gauge then you could be risking excessive heat buildup that could lead to failure. Even if you don't buy them from me, get them. That is my recommendation as a technician. Below is a description of how it works.The magnet mounted inside the motor measures rotations. The stock magnet has 8 poles. The aftermarket magnet only has 2 poles. Reducing the poles makes the electronics see fewer rotations. For every rotation the computer reads 1/4 a rotation. This unlocks the true speed potential on your cart. Theoretically, the speed you could achieve would far surpass the mechanical ability of the cart, but it would close to 40 MPH. (This is a theoretical mathematical calculation, and while there are some carts out there that will run that fast, it costs a great deal more than the few bucks these magnets cost to achieve it)I'm currently the only US seller on eBay with this speed magnet for the PDS.......I buy them in large quantities and thus I get better pricing with my purchases. I've sold thousands of magnets here on eBay for multiple applications and I support my customers! My Magnets are purchased from an American company, and manufactured when I order them right here in the good old USA. Don't get taken by a seller who is selling broken and epoxied magnets, and don't wait 3 weeks for a questionable quality magnet from China.....neither of which provide any support for you when you install it! I will include a sheet with installation instructions and pictures showing exact locations of the items as you go through the install. I also list sizes of sockets/wrenches and/or other tools needed to do the job. These instructions are written in common man's terms, no technical hubub that was written in a foreign language and translated. I wrote them so anyone could read and follow them! There are some expensive electronic devices that modify programming and become "locked" to the cart they are on, (to the tune of $150 or more) and there are some "high speed" harnesses for some others. High speed wire jumper harnesses have very little effect on speed, trust me I tried them all and the best one available results in the slowest possible result with a magnet! Available for all battery voltages and configurations! You've got the magnet, now get the wires to help that cart really move! I highly recommend that you upgrade your wires if you plan on running long distances. The factory 6 gauge wires will build up extensive amounts of heat on long runs, and this can lead to premature failures if not addressed. If you drive long distances at full throttle, you should upgrade your battery pack wires at a minimum to 4 gauge to protect your investment.Results achieved will depend on many factors, from the overall condition of the cart to the state of your batteries, front end alignment, tire pressure, windshield up or down, etc. I am not claiming any speed number that you will get individually. I have had customers who ran nearly 25, and others who run around 19. Even if you only get 17-19 that's still an 18%+ speed increase over stock AND you are eliminating the motor braking feature so you can go faster down hills. Please keep that in mind. If you want to get to some astronomical speed like 30MPH, you aren't going to get it for $38. You'll be looking more like $1500+. I mention this as there is always some whiner with a poor condition cart who wants to leave poor feedback or opens a "not as described" case because they don't read the listing and expect this magnet to act like some kind of rocket booster. This magnet does NOT increase acceleration from dead stop. It increases top end speed and removes automatic motor braking. Read the feedback I have from those who have installed the magnet, club car and Ezgo, and it shows they are all extremely pleased with the results.
