The glass beads do not absorb the heat like some beads. This is best understood by placing your hands on a plastic and a glass container. People that prefer warmth or being able to flip a cover into the laundry; can use another Blanket with this or a cover/duvet that fits it. There are loops on this to attach it to the cover that's sold separately by this brand & it might fit other brands.
