For our initial inspiration, we looked at a selection of BFR StingRay basses with Blackburst finishes and off-the-charts flame maple tonewoods, which we then melded with a mineral or rock theme, resulting in our exclusive Anthracite and Lignite finishes. We chose roasted flame maple necks for the fretless models and white flame maple for the fretted models, with a high-gloss finish on the fretless models for added protection and an oiled satin finish on the fretted models. The fretless models brandish clean fingerboards without inlays, while the fretted models display eye-catching block inlays.
