Description: This Elgin National Watch Company antique pocket watch is a stunning piece and has a rich history as it belonged to my great grandfather who lived in the Midwestern USA. Made with a mechanical handwinding Swiss-made movement, this 2 1/4” diameter pocket watch is designed with Roman numerals and a 12-hour dial that is easy to read. It also includes a seconds hand and comes with the original attached chain and pocket clip that is inscribed “The DFB Co.” The case of this pocket watch is made of gold-filled material with a brushed finish and a yellow gold color that reveals age spots on the back (see photo). There is a delicate design around the front of the case. It is not water-resistant and was manufactured between 1920-1929, making it a vintage item.
