I do not feel that the handle is not secure. There is a very very slight movement when I try to move the handle. I believe this is because of the single rivet attaching the discs instead of having 2 rivets. I can't really comment on the finial age or whether it is original or not. It was on there when it came into the store. The finial does have movement. It is attached with a square nut. There is no washer or rubber/plastic disc to make it snug against the metal. The finial has one leaf broken off. There are 2 areas that I think are repairs It holds approximately 32 fl oz. 2 more oz could probably fit, but it was probably made for 32 oz. Some faint scuffs and scratches from age and use. Please see pictures for condition as they are part of the description.
