Description: This turned up locally and unfortunately I was not able to get the vets name. Camp Ashraf was about 60km north of Baghdad, and 20km from the Iranian border. There were numerous units stationed there and they operated at least two hospitals, but I'm not sure what hospital units were there. I believe the Spartan Medics is in reference to FOB Spartan (later FOB Grizzly after the CA NG took over), which was an outpost to Camp Ashraf early in the war. Flag is the standard Iraqi sew shop job, with gold Fringe around the edge. Flag material is what you'd expect a windbreaker to be made out of. There is some spotting/staining to the white field - I'm not sure if this would come out or not. Flag is one sided as seen, though it was sewn as a flag to be mounted on a pole.
