Description: Here is a wonderful friendship quilt in excellent condition. It is cotton with a muslin color backing. Each block has a name in the center; they are in penmanship rather than embroidery. There seem to be some men's names and several last name Hawkins. Based on the fabrics, it might be pre 1900. It appears to have been laundered at least once as one block ran a bit, see last two photos. The corners are all a goldenrod color fabric; the frame pieces and binding and small center squares within are matching fabric.The individual blocks are a variety of fabrics. Doubtful it was ever used but saved as a keepsake all these years.
