Description: Up for sale is an early forged bench vise with 2 1/2" jaws and an unusual crank-like handle on the bench clamp. No maker's marks. Only the number 38 in Roman numberals (XXXVIII) etched on the back jaw and the vise nut. Part mating numbers, most likely. The jaws are in good condition. One has a very slight divot in the knurling. The jaws close tightly and have a 1 1/2" capacity. Same for the bench clamp. Weighs in at 3 1/2 pounds. The photos are a critical part of the item description. Please review them carefully.
