Влади́мир Васи́льевич Ве́йдле (1 марта 1895, Петербург — 5 августа 1979, Париж) - литературовед, культуролог, либеральный мыслитель, историк культуры русской эмиграции, поэт. Профессор Пермского (1918–1921) и Петроградского (1921–1924) университетов.В 1912 году окончил немецкое реформаторское училище и поступил на историко-филологический факультет Санкт-Петербургского университета, где специализировался на кафедре всеобщей истории. После октябрьских событий 1917 года Вейдле покинул Петроград и в течение трёх лет (1918–1921) преподавал историю искусства на историко-филологическом факультете Пермского университета; в 1921–1924 годах он преподавал в Петроградском университете, доцент кафедры истории и западного искусства. В октябре 1924 года он уехал в Париж, где прожил до конца своей жизни, с 1925 по 1952 год преподавал в Свято-Сергиевском Богословском институте, профессор кафедры истории и христианского искусства. Участник собраний "Зелёной лампы" и литературного объединения "Круг". В 50-х- 70-х годах преподавал в университетах Мюнхена, Нью-Йорка, Принстона, Лондона, Брюге и др. Публиковался в "Звене", "Последних новостях", "Современных записках", "Числах", "Русских записках", "Круге", "Вестнике РСХД", после войны в "Новом журнале", "Опытах", "Воздушных путях", "Мостах".Многочисленные эссе по истории русской и европейской литературы и художественной культуры, о судьбах христианского искусства, месте России в духовной истории Европы, а также искусствоведческие статьи, обзоры, литературно-критические и литературоведческие работы, рецензии. Писал также на французском и итальянском языках. На "Радио Свобода" вёл рубрику "Беседы о словах". До сих пор мало известен в России, хотя в эмиграции был таким же видным представителем русской культуры, как Н. А. Бердяев, Г. П. Федотов, С. Л. Франк. Ру́сское студе́нческое христиа́нское движе́ние (сокр. РСХД) — объединение (c 1899 года) христианской молодёжи в России и впоследствии в эмиграции, имевшее преимущественно религиозно-просветительский характер и ставившее своей целью привлечение верующей молодёжи, выработки у неё целостного христианского мировоззрения, а также подготовки проповедников в условиях распространившихся материализма и атеизма. Эмигрантская ветвь основана в 1923 году путём объединения уже существующих христианских студенческих организаций в различных европейских городах как преемственная дореволюционному движению, но конфессионально-православная. Professor of Perm (1918-1921) and Petrograd (1921-1924) universities.In 1912 he graduated from the German reform school and enrolled in the History and Philology Department of St. Petersburg University, where he specialized in the Department of General History. After the October events of 1917, Veidle left Petrograd and for three years (1918-1921) taught the history of art at the Faculty of History and Philology of Perm University; In 1921-1924 he taught at the Petrograd University, an associate professor of the Department of History and Western Art. In October 1924 he went to Paris, where he lived until the end of his life, from 1925 to 1952 he taught at the St. Sergius Theological Institute, professor of the Department of History and Christian Art.
