Description: The Duncan and Miller Glass Company did not begin advertising directly to the public until 1936, but from that date on made regular appearances in the popular magazines in the 1940s and 1950s. This volume reprints 99 of those advertisements, as well as presenting another 73 pages of pattern pamphlets that were given to customers. Major patterns like Canterbury, Early American Sandwich, Hobnail, Swan (Pall Mall), and Teardrop were frequently featured, as well as etchings like First Love and cuttings like Lily of the Valley and Willow, but equally valuable to the researcher are the myriad ads for the lesser known patterns and decorations. Duncan's association with Toastmaster is also covered, with an additional section of other company's advertisements that featured Duncan & Miller glassware. A full pattern index is also provided.
