Description: Drill Press Quill/Spindle Assembly #3 Morse Taper This quill probably fits a 17" drill press, however the origin of this part is unknown. Shelf stock, so to say.Nevertheless, it could be an excellent part for some DIY projects (lathe, milling, drilling, etc)It is large and heavy and seems to be well made. I am throwing in a sleeve which is indispensable when you plan to add a V-Belt Pulley. That sleeve alone costs over $30. Suggestion: I build my home-made milling machine with the use of this spindle. It works great. I have put the V-Belt pulley directly on the grooved section and secured by two set screws. I did not use the sleeve, however it may be worth trying such an option.
