Description: Donner Tuning Gears String Trees & Strap Pins Stock Hardware for Red DST-100 Description Up for sale is a set of Donner branded tuning gears along with a pair of strap pins and string trees that came off of a refurbished metallic red Donner DST-100 strat copy. The tuning gears are six inline and their dexterity is meant for right handed necks. They are die cast tuners which bear the Donner logo on the back of each gear and come with their original hex nut ferrules, washers, and mounting screws. The two strap pins also include their original mounting screws and small felt washer grommets. And finally, the two string trees also include all of their original components (i.e. the mounting screws, slightly different sized barrels - with the higher one for the lower strings and the lower one closer to the middle strings, and the actual string trees themselves). The tuning gears also have a branding on them which read X R3 and R4... there are four R4's and two R3's. One of the R3's has a slightly worn black washer just under its tuning key which may or may not need to be replaced. I really can't say for sure, as I didn't use these parts extensively, but rather just took everything out in order to upgrade the hardware with locking sets of tuners, roller string trees, and strap locks. The other thing I've spotted is a slightly worn washer for one of the hex nut ferrules with what appears to be tool marks on it; that must have come straight from the factory like that. Then again... it was a refurbished guitar, so it was either a customer return or just had these types of blemishes that prevented it from being sold as a brand new instrument. Either way, I'm pricing this lot to move. I figure it can be used to replace some missing stock parts on a similar Donner guitar out there, or perhaps it can be used for a Frankenstrat parts project guitar... I just think that the logos on the back of the tuning gears are a pretty unique sight to behold for something that's supposed to be stock, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
