Discus to Shot Put Hammer Weight Throw Throwing circle conversion inserts

Description: We have gone to the thicker 3/4 inch material as it is a much better mat and the thinner materials dimension changed form 1/2 to 3/8 and it is just not the quality that I want so sell. It is a little more money but well worth it for longevity and quality of the circle. This is a light weight modular conversion ring for a Discus circle to Shot Put, Hammer, Weight Throw Circle. Using keyed foam mats we cut out the proper size insert to take the 2.5 meter circle to 2.135 meter throwing circle. We used a large CNC router to cut a smooth accurate insert to the proper size. The pads lock together to form the insert. The insert fits snug in the discus circle. The mats are approximately 3/4 inch thick. Circle is accurate to within .5 diameter due to expansion and contraction of foam. We get material in 3 different colors and depending on availability the one shipped may be sky blue, silver/grey or black. 0, 90, 180 270, are marked on four segments to give visual to the proper foot placement for turns. Depending on availability they will be on contrasting segment colors or labeled in contrasting ink. The ones in the pictures are from our Discus circle but are similar to the ones for the inserts sold here, My daughter throws hammer and weight and the outdoor practice area only has a discus circle and cage. I made these so that she had the proper size circle for hammer and weight throw. They are light and easy to take with you and the pieces assemble quickly and are tight in the circle so they stay put.It is light, easy to setup and take down and takes up minimal room. When Gill and others are getting $600 or more for inserts that are bulky and don't transport well we tried to come up with something that a thrower could have at home or a school could afford and not break the budget. This is meant for practice only and allows any thrower to have their own circle inserts to work with for under $100.
