Description: This 5.5" saucer from Silvers Restaurant in New York City has some tales to tell! Damage from a fire is clearly visible in the glaze on the saucer, and fire was not the only incident at Silvers. In the 1920s and 30s there were murders, robberies, suicides ...this old restaurant chain had a definite curse on it. Please note: this saucer is not cursed! This came from their 581 Fulton Street location where the fire occurred in 1932. In 1924, an employee of this location was killed with an axe on his way home from work.. See the newspaper articles in the photos for more information. Please see photos for details and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing. Thanks for looking!
