Description: CDC FEATHERS CDC Feathers are a very useful fly tying feather for tying dry flies and emerger patterns and try CDC feathers in your caddis flies and mayfly patterns too. I even like to use these fathers for nymphs as the micro fibers in the feather provide a lot of movement underwater.....simulates gills, legs, beards, etc. 12 pack is made up of most used colors. CDC feathers should not be treated with dry fly floatant as they provide floatation of their own. CDC feathers are grown near a duck's oil glands, and are saturated with natural oils; these feathers will not sink, even in the absence of floatants. I like to use my Amadou patch I keep pinned to my fishing vest to soak the water out of my CDC flies followed by a treatment of Doc's or Froggy desiccant.
