Description: This auction is for a very collectible vintage unsigned Trifari duck “shoe button” Figural scatter pin. Trifari made several of these animal pins in the early 1940s. They were Alfred Philippe designs done in sterling vermeil and signed. I was told they made recasts in the 1950s- these were not sterling, nor signed. This pin measures 1 1/4 inch long. All rhinestones, baguettes and cabochon are present. Some of the tiny clear brilliants are darkened. The green shoe button piece has tiny scratches at 1:00. I could not get them to show in photos - they are not visible without a loupe. The plating is intact with no wear spots and the pinback works perfectly. Condition is excellent.
