Description: I have for sale a souvenir medal from the 1928 Cincinnati Industrial Exposition that was held in Cincinnati, Ohio The medal is bronze looking and looks to have been gilted when new, it is 1 1/4 inch in diameter and in circulated condition with a tiny spot near the bee hive on the obverse and a tiny spot at the rim on the reverse. In the early 1800's when the first Cincinnati Industrial Expositions started it was to showcase the products of the Cincinnati business owners and over time the exposition included displays from businesses across the Midwest and other parts of the United States. The medal obverse reads CINCINNATI INDUSTRIAL - EXPOSITION. The obverse shows a building in the center and at the bottom rim it has a bee hive with branches. The building is the Music Hall for the exposition and this medal commemorates the 50th anniversary of the hall that was dedicated in 1878. The reverse at the rim reads ONWARD CINCINNATI and 1878-1928. In the center it reads GOOD - LUCK - PIECE and has the good luck swastika symbol behind.
